Program info
The Aspiring Adventurers Program is a series of school holiday programs for young people who want to go further in outdoor adventure activities and learning.
Learning the skills required, accessing necessary equipment, and having other like-minded people to adventure with are all barriers that stop young people from getting outside in nature.
Thrive Outside plans to run 3 school holiday programs that will include activities such as multi-day bushwalking, kayaking, mountain biking, rock climbing, and abseiling.
The Aspiring Adventurers Program is a great opportunity to meet other like-minded people and have fun during the holidays.
Program Outcomes
These school holiday programs are designed to help young people achieve three key outcomes:
SKILLS
Our primary goal is to equip participants with essential outdoor skills. We are passionate about outdoor recreation and believe that the more people who can travel safely in nature, the better.
EXPERIENCE
We want young people to gain valuable experiences—whether that means trying a activity for the first time or exploring a new location. We aim to provide unique experiences that capture the essence of adventure.
FUN
Of course, we want everyone to enjoy themselves! We appreciate that you're choosing to spend your holidays with us. While we have an itinerary and trip plans, this is your adventure, and we welcome any suggestions to make it even better.
How to join
To join, simply review the trip notes below and choose one, two, or all of the holiday programs. It’s a great idea to bring a friend along for a familiar face, but if not, this is a perfect chance to meet new people.
All holiday programs are open to participants aged 15-17, and a moderate fitness level is required. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out, and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
