DAY 1

FRIDAY 17TH APRIL

Kayaking 

After an introduction to the program and meeting crew you'll be spending the next 4 days with, we’ll start our first activity...an orienteering challenge.

This team building activity will along the Onkaparinga River and eventually to the kayak launch location. We will learn kayaking fundamentals such as paddle techniques and rescues, and play games whilst on the water.

After kayaking, we will drive to Pink Gum campground for our first night setting up tents and cooking on stoves.

DAY 2

SATURDAY 18TH APRIL

ROCK CLIMBING 

Start with a short walk to Top Cliff at Onkaparinga where we will spend the morning rock climbing; learning how to safely belay and climbing techniques. Whether you are new to climbing or a pro, there will be a challenge for everyone!

We will then drive to Waitpinga campground have a relaxing afternoon. go for a short walk to see the sun set from the top of the cliffs.

DAY 3

SUNDAY 19TH APRIL

HIKING AND ABSEILING 

We’ll start the day with a scenic 10 km walk along the clifftops toward The Bluff, taking in expansive coastal views along the way.

Once we arrive, you’ll gear up for an abseil with the ocean stretching out behind you. For those feeling confident, there’s also the opportunity to tackle the route known as Pleasure Dome

After our big day of hiking and abseiling we'll return to Waitpinga Camp Ground

DAY 4

MONDAY 20TH APRIL

SURFING & DRIVE HOME

On our final morning, we’ll pack up camp and head to Middleton for a two-hour surf lesson to round out the adventure.

After surfing, the group will travel back to Adelaide (arrival time TBC), where we’ll wrap up the program and say our goodbyes.

PLANNING INFO

Who is this for...This adventure is for young people between the ages of 14 and 17 years old.You don’t need to be super human!...and you do not need to be the best camper, rock climber or hiker.All you need is a moderate fitness level and a sense of adventure!

What’s included

  • Experienced and qualified instructors in remote bushwalking, rock climbing.

  • Transportation (from Adelaide region) and fuel

  • Rock climbing equipment

  • Camping equipment (including tent, cooking stove, camp chair)

  • Catered dinner on the last evening

  • Food suggestions, planning support and resources

  • Campground bookings and Park entry fees

Food

Food for this camp is not catered (except for dinner on final night). Meals should be easy to cook on a small camping stove and last without refrigeration.

A sample menu and food suggestions will be sent after booking.

What to bring

  • Sleeping equipment (sleeping bag and sleeping mat)

  • Bowl, plate and cutlery

  • Clothing for all weather (including a set of thermals)

  • Rain jacket

  • Small backpack

A comprehensive packing list will be sent after booking.
